Suicide Gap

In Nova Scotia, the rate of suicide among men is 4.7x that of women, 82.3% of all suicides are men and boys.
It is even much higher than the Canadian average of 77.5% showing a clear discrimination against men in society regarding help, treatments, and discriminatory pressures put on men.

Unsurprisingly, it’s only when women and/or teenage girls commit suicide that the province seem to care, then goes right back to ignoring 82.3% of the victims.
